Work Notice: Cooley Street Improvements between Village Permit Parking Lot and Manville Road

Cooley Street (between the Village Permit Parking Lot and Manville Road) roadway re-construction is anticipated to begin on Monday, October 9, 2023 through Thursday, November 30, 2023 (weather permitting). Work will be permitted from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Vehicular traffic, pedestrian access and on-street/permit parking will be restricted within this portion of Cooley Street.
Cooley Street (from the Village Permit Parking Lot to Manville Road) will remain closed to thru traffic. The Contractor will accommodate traffic flow for emergency services only.
The Village Permit Parking Lot will be open to permit holders beginning Saturday, October 7, 2023. This parking area will be accessible for the remainder of the Cooley Street improvements. The newly constructed public passage connecting Memorial Plaza to Cooley Street will also be available for public use beginning Saturday, October 7, 2023. This passageway is located between the United States Post Office and the new 70 Memorial Plaza building (which is nearing completion). The newly landscaped walkway will be permanently accessible to the public.
