Village of Pleasantville 2023 Fire Hydrant Flushing Schedule

Please be advised the Department of Public Works (DPW) Water Division will be flushing fire hydrants starting on Monday, October 9, 2023 through Friday, October 13, 2023 from approximately 12:00 AM until 7:00 AM. 

This water system maintenance work will be performed during overnight hours when water demand is typically at its lowest.  Fire hydrant flushing may cause accumulated sediment within the pipes to travel throughout the Village’s water mains.  This may result in a slight, non-harmful, discoloration in your water.  Water customers are encouraged not to do laundry before 8:00 AM.  Property owners, tenants, etc. are advised to run cold water until it is flowing clear from your plumbing fixtures (i.e. sink faucets, shower heads, etc.).
