Reminder: Work Notice: Roadway Milling and Re-Surfacing on Bedford Road and Wheeler Avenue

Bedford Road (between Tompkins Avenue and Wheeler Avenue) and Wheeler Avenue (between Bedford Road and Manville Road) roadway milling and re-surfacing is anticipated to begin and be completed on Saturday, October 28, 2023 (weather permitting).  The work will be performed by Consolidated Edison’s permanent restoration contractor, Petrillo Contracting, Inc.  This roadway restoration is required in accordance with Consolidated Edison’s “Street/Road Opening Permits” issued by the Village of Pleasantville Department of Public Works (DPW) and Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation (WCDPW&T) for gas main improvements completed in July 2023.

Work will be permitted from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.  On-street parking on both sides of Wheeler Avenue will be temporarily restricted for maintenance and protection of traffic.  The Contractor will provide work zone traffic control to maintain one-way vehicular traffic flow during construction.  Sidewalk access will not be impacted, and will be safely maintained for the public.  The Contractor will work to minimize construction impacts during their operations.
