Racoon Sighting, Roselle Park

Last evening (Sunday, March 24) at around 7:00pm, a resident of Spring Street observed a raccoon acting strangely around Roselle Park. The animal stumbled and appeared to be sick. Responding officers were unable to locate the raccoon upon their arrival.
Please take extra precautions in the area around Roselle Park. As always, do not approach wild animals, even if they do not appear to be sick. Maintain a watch over small children, and report any disturbing animal sightings to the Police Department, either via 911 or (914) 769-1500.
