THE PLEASANTVILLE MUSIC FESTIVAL LINE UP HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

The 2022 line-up has been announced for the 16th annual Pleasantville Music Festival slated for July 9th. This year's headlining act is the popular hit-making outfit from Ithaca, New York; X Ambassadors. Known for hits like 'Boom' and 'Renegades', the latter was used recently in a national television advertising campaign promoting Jeep. Also appearing on the main stage, the legendary 10,000 Maniacs featuring Mary Ramsey, along with purveyors of modern day funk, r&b and soul; Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears. Rounding out the Main Stage line-up; local faves, Clare Maloney & the Great Adventure. One more surprise headliner will be added to the Main Stage line-up in the near future.

The Party Stage will be headlined this year with an alt rock duo from Harrisonburg, Virginia called Illiterate Light. Their big radio hit this past year was the song 'Better Than I Used To'. Other Party Stage performers, all with local roots include; The Narrowbacks, Girl Skin, Blank Slate and The Breaks, Inc.

The Chill Tent this year will be headlined by Grammy Award-winner, Paula Cole, known for huge 90's hits like 'I Don't Wanna Know' and 'Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?' . The remainder of the Chill Tent stage performers all have local roots as well. They include; Cole Quest & the City Pickers, Riki Stevens, Greg Jacquin and Chaz Kiss

All three stages will kick off with winners of the festival's ongoing Battle of the Bands, sponsored annually by Lagond Music. Those winners will be announced early next week. This Saturday (April 30th), the Chill Tent Finals will take place at Lagond Music's Haven Performance Space, located at 9 Haven Street in Elmsford. The competition starts at 2pm and will go to approximately 6pm as eight finalists perform their original music before a panel of industry judges. The public is invited and admission is free. Masks are required for all who aren't performing. 

The Pleasantville Music Festival, known as New York’s Backyard Jam, takes place on the village's Parkway Field. Featuring great local food and drink, a warm positive vibe, and of course, world-class rock, the Festival has become a must-attend summer event for the whole family.
