After months of anticipation, the line-up for this year’s Pleasantville Music Festival has been announced. The event, now in its 14th year, is slated for Saturday, July 14th at Pleasantville’s Parkway Field, and is presented by Westchester Medical Center.
The Main Stage will open up with the winner of the ongoing Battle of the Bands competition. Following that, regional favorites; blues-rockers, Lizzy & the Makers will take the stage. Next up will be a set from 1990’s hit-makers, Cracker. Then, the festival audience will get to experience the pedal-steel brilliance of Robert Randolph & the Family Band. That will be followed by the intricate harmonies of Brooklyn’s, The Lone Bellow, which in turn, will lead us up to the festival’s headlining act, 1980’s New Wave pioneers, The Psychedelic Furs.
The Chill Tent Stage will kick off with another Battle of the Bands winner. Then, the line-up calls for performances from the talented Emily Angell, rising star; Tim Stout, baseball player turned singer-songwriter; Dan Zlotnick, and acclaimed local trio; Chanelle. The Chill Tent Stage will be anchored by the stage’s headliner, John Hall. Known for his work both as the lead singer for Orleans, and for his years in Congress representing New York's 19th district, John will perform with special guest Fly Amero, also of Orleans.
Over on the Party Stage, after another Battle of the Band winner kicks things off, rockin’ sets will come from Mahopac-based Friends At The Falls, indie-punk band; Loose Buttons, former Scarsdale rockers; Late Night Episode and Boston-based rock/funk band; Juice, a band featuring members with Southern Westchester roots. More acts will be announced in the near future.
