Climate Smart Event- November 28, 2023

The Village of Pleasantville Climate Smart Communities Task Force (aka Climate Smart Committee) is partnering with Films on Purpose to host a screening on Nov. 28, 2023 that focuses on carbon footprint reduction.

The short video, Bloomberg’s “Getting Warmer, Episode 9 - Renovating the World” hosted by actor-comedian Kal Penn, looks at NYC buildings where changes have been implemented to reduce energy requirements - decreasing pollution and saving costs.

Following the screening there will be a panel discussion with Leo Wiegman (Sustainable Westchester), Robert DeAngelis (CURE100), and the Climate Smart Committee (CSC) to discuss how village residents can do the same. 

Reception starts at 6pm, screening at 7pm, panel discussion follows.
