Work Notice: Memorial Plaza Permit Parking Lot “Slip Lane” Daytime Closure

The Department of Public Works (DPW) will begin pavement excavation for Memorial Plaza electric service upgrades on Monday, October 2, 2023 through Thursday, October 5, 2023 (weather permitting). Work will occur from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Vehicular traffic and pedestrian access will be restricted within the northern portion of the Memorial Plaza lot (exiting to Manville Road) during work hours. There will be no interruptions to on-street and/or permit parking.
The Memorial Plaza parking area exit (i.e. slip lane) to Manville Road will be re-opened daily after work hours. The northern parking area access aisle will be temporarily utilized for two-way traffic. The currently closed northern access aisle will be available for vehicles to enter and exit between the northern parking area and Memorial Plaza. DPW will accommodate traffic flow for emergency services.
