Ban on Plastic Bags in Recycling Materials Pick Up Effective March 29th

Please be advised that curbside recycling can no longer be placed in plastic bags. The Village sends recycling materials to a Westchester County facility that now prohibits plastic bags since the bags contaminate the recycling stream.
As of March 29, 2019, curbside recycling placed in plastic bags will not be picked-up by the Village’s Department of Public Works. If you should have any questions, please call 914-769-3883.
