The Pleasantville Senior Citizen Programs & Services provides recreational and educational programs as well as supportive services to residents 60 years of age and older. These programs and services are designed to enhance the quality of life of our adult residents by increasing their independence and maintaining their involvement in the life of our community. Information, referral and support services to Pleasantville senior citizens and their families is provided through the offices of the Director of Senior Services. In addition, the program provides the following services.

Nutrition:  
  • Lunch served Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12:00 Noon at The Clinton Street Center.  Advance Reservations Required.  Hot Meals $7.00, Cold Meals $7.00.  Check out our newsletter!  
  • To go meals are available Monday through Friday.  Must be pre-ordered the day prior by 1:00pm and picked up between 11:30a - 12:30pHot Meals $7.00; Cold Meals $7.00
  • Home Delivered Meals are available for persons 60 years of age and older who are homebound.  Meals are $5.00. 

Transportation:   

  • Weekly Shopping Van on Thursdays picks residents up at their homes.  Pick-ups start at 9:00am and will be going to Shoprite in the Thornwood Town Center.   Advanced Reservations Required on a First Come, First Served Basis.  Limited Seating  $2.00 roundtrip.  
  • Monthly Shopping Van to nearby shopping centers, i.e. Walmart, JV Mall, Danbury Mall $5.00 roundtrip  
  • Van Service is available within the Village of Pleasantville and to the Thornwood Shopping Center. It is by Appointment if we can fit it in with our other Transportation Services. $2.00 suggested donation.  
  • Medical Escort Service for seniors needing transportation to medical appointments is provided by volunteers and subject to availability. Please call at least a week in advance and we will try our best to accomodate you. When we are unable to provide transportation or you need to go outside of the Village we recommend you call Ride Connect (914) 242-7433, Transportation Resources Access (914) 764-3533 and if applicable, register for Westchester County ParaTransit  (914) 995-2959.
